Call for Abstracts
We are excited to announce the Call for Abstracts for the XVIII Congress of the European Biological Rhythms Society (EBRS). This premier event will gather leading chronobiologists and sleep experts from Europe and around the world to explore the latest advancements in biological rhythms. Join us from August 24–28, 2025, in Lübeck, Germany, for an inspiring exchange of ideas. Whether your focus is on molecular mechanisms, physiological rhythms, or medical applications, EBRS 2025 offers a dynamic platform for innovative research and collaboration.

Abstracts will be reviewed for poster presentations and may also be selected for short oral presentations in symposia. Poster presentations will compete for the Best Poster Award, and short talks for the Best Presentation Award.
Submission Details
Abstract Submission Timeline:
- 9 December 2024: Abstract Submission Opens
- 24 May 2025: Abstract Submission Deadline Extended
- Mid-June 2025: Notification of Acceptance
Abstract Requirements:
- Use the official EBRS 2025 Abstract Template.
- Ensure your abstract is finalized before submission.
Poster Format:
- Orientation: Portrait (DIN A0)
- Size: 84.1 cm wide x 118.9 cm high
- Additional details about poster setup will be provided in June 2025.
Travel Grants for Young Researchers
EBRS 2025 offers travel grants to support the participation of young researchers in the XVIII Congress from 24–28 August 2025 in Lübeck, Germany.
Application Deadline:
30 April 2025 – Travel grant application is closed.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Doctoral students and postdocs (up to four years post PhD or MD)
- Applicant has submitted an abstract as first author
- Applicant is a member of EBRS
Required Documents:
Submit a single PDF in English to
- Motivation letter (max. 1 page)
- CV (max. 2 pages)
- List of publications (if applicable)
- Copy of submitted abstract
- Letter of recommendation (only one applicant per group leader)
Note: Travel grant applications do not include registration. Registration via Converia is mandatory for EBRS 2025 participation.
