5. Membership Platform Provided by Azuleon
EBRS membership applications, membership accounts and related membership administration are handled through a membership platform provided by Azuleon.
When you select a membership option or access the members-only area, you are connected to the Azuleon membership platform. The platform may appear as an integrated or linked part of the EBRS website, but the technical collection and processing of the information submitted through that platform is carried out using Azuleon’s systems.
Depending on the membership service used, the information processed may include:
- name and contact details;
- institutional or professional information;
- membership category and membership status;

Azuleon processes this information for the provision and administration of the membership platform and related services. EBRS receives or accesses the membership information necessary to assess applications, administer memberships, communicate with members and provide membership benefits.
The legal basis for membership-related processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, as the processing is necessary to process an application and administer the membership relationship. Where statutory record-keeping requirements apply, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR may also be relevant.
Further information about Azuleon’s handling of personal data is available in the Azuleon Privacy Policy .
6. Payments
EBRS does not directly collect or store complete payment-card details through the public EBRS website.
Where membership or event-related payments are available through the Azuleon platform, payment information may be processed by Azuleon and/or its designated payment-service provider in accordance with the privacy terms of the relevant provider.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The EBRS website may use cookies or similar technologies that are technically necessary for website functionality, session management and security.
EBRS does not currently use cookies for behavioural advertising or visitor profiling.
The integrated Azuleon membership platform may place or access its own cookies where these are necessary for account login, session management, membership functions or security. Such cookies are governed by the relevant Azuleon platform settings and privacy information.
You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect the operation of certain website or membership functions.
8. External Links and Social Media
The EBRS website contains links to external websites and services, including LinkedIn, partner institutions, event organisers and scientific resources.
When you follow an external link, the relevant third party may process personal data in accordance with its own privacy policy. EBRS does not control the data-processing practices of external websites.

11. Data Retention
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or as required by applicable law.
Membership records may be retained for the duration of the membership and for an appropriate period afterwards to meet administrative, accounting, legal or record-keeping requirements.
